Description:

Kinky Kontrol in East LA seeking local outbound sales person to bring in new accounts and work. Do you know custom merch decorating/apparel? Do you have sales experience? Are you friendly, cordial and ethical? Do you have your own reliable transportation? Then this could be for you.
East Los Angeles screen printing/merch shop looking for courteous, compassionate, tidy, organized, detail oriented, responsible, unpretentious part-time sales rep. Must have good speaking and listening skills. Strong preference given to those with screen printing and/or merch experience.
In this position you will be the direct contact for new and existing clients. Take orders. Grow accounts. Track production. Anticipate needs. Pick up and deliver orders. We strive to create a concierge like experience for our clients. Everyone should feel like a VIP. You need to be a real people person.
HOURS & COMPENSATION:
$20/hr 20-25 Hrs/Week + Commission To Start
Motivated and successful sales rep can quickly see hours increased up to FT w benefits after trial run and targets met. This could be a great entry level opportunity to get some sales experience or something to pad your current workload if you already have sales/merch experience. Eventually I would like to have someone on full time, but I've got to get some extra sales in first.

DUTIES
• Contacting prospective customers and initiating merch orders
• Face to face introductions and check ins
• Identifying qualified leads, generating leads, following up on existing lead list to introduce our services
• Deep understanding and familiarity the company's services & major apparel suppliers
• Coordinating sales and marketing plans
• Generating sales reports & CRM logs
• Meeting sales goals – monthly sales goals, activity goals, etc.
• Frequent meetings to determine new ways to improve customer experience and increase sales.

• Product knowledge is the key – you need to learn everything there is to know to perform an effective product demonstration and win the potential customer over. Also to identify client needs. Know when to pitch what technique. Is this client's project more suited to screen printing, DTF, or DTG? Important to know something about that.
• Precision. Eye for detail and high level of quality control is mandatory.
• Patience. Seeking an unselfish team player. Be humble and unassuming. This is a small operation, and we're all getting our hands dirty here.
• Team Player You will be doing a lot of face to face meetings with clients, but also working alongside owner on closing on accounts large and small.
• Practicality and ability to do a lot with a little. Ability to pivot and improvise when necessary.
• As we are in East LA, Spanish ability is a huge plus. Full disclosure, my Spanish is unimpressive, but I'm working on it. Japanese is also useful with our targeted market and client base.

As the company origin is in entertainment, the customer base has creatives at its core. Small Businesses. Restaurants. Breweries. Musicians. Filmmakers. Hospitality. And More. We believe in going the extra mile for our clients, and we are constantly re-defining ways to create an experience for our clientele that is down to earth, friendly, collaborative, efficient and surprising. We also have a storefront gift store and integrate some client products here and provide special offers for those we work with.
My name is Kevin. As owner and founder, I do everything from the cleaning/organizing to the accounting to the sourcing/art prep/printing to the marketing/customer relations and beyond. It's a lot of work for one person, and I need an individual who is unselfish and understanding of what it means to work for a single-owner company and small business.
