In addition to welding the person will be expected to flex in pipefitting and rigging crafts.KEY RESULT AREAS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform code & non-code welding on pipe, pressure equipment, plate and structural steel.Perform code & non-code welding of carbon steel and alloys.Perform journeyman level pipefitting, layout, and construction of piping. Make orthographic and isometric drawings or sketches of piping systems.Read P&ID's and understand symbolsFamiliarity with pipe classificationsPerform journeyman level rigging tasksWill be expected to flex in pipefitting and rigging craftsWear proper PPE and prioritize SafetyPerform good quality functionalities that me ASME, AWS, API standards.Performs NDE Testing as required by codeUnderstand Energy IsolationUnderstands pipe fitting materialsWORK ENVIRONMENT:The Welder will perform these functions in various environmental conditions in the refinery including, but not limited to: indoors, such as shops, warehouses, and other indoor locations; outdoors, such as open areas, covered areas, process units, and other outdoor locations; heights, such as columns, tanks, pipe racks, and other areas; underground, such as vaults, pits, and inside of process equipment and other confined spaces. The position may be exposed to other environmental requirements as well, such as heat, cold, wind, rain, and other naturally occurring elements Standing, walking lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds. Bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, stretching, pushing, pulling, dragging, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crawling, use of hands and feet.Properly uses and handles safety materials and equipment such as personal protective equipment, respirators, and air supplied breathing apparatus.Some nightshift, weekend shift, and overtime required. This work is in a safety sensitive environment that requires you to pass and comply with a continuous random drug and alcohol-testing program.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Minimum high school diploma required or GED equivalentWelding Certifications PreferredMinimum 5 years journeyman level experienceGood communication skills.Pay and BenefitsStarting pay is $47.48 - $51.93 per hour upon qualification with a highly competitive benefits package including retirement and medical.
