Job Summary
DEFINITION:
Helps to prepare and serve a variety of foods in large quantities and assists in the maintenance of a school cafeteria and food program.
Requirements / Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
•Food Handler Certificate required (or obtain within 60 days of hire)
•Knowledge of methods of preparing and serving large quantities of food
•One year of experience in preparing large quantities of food in school cafeteria setting and/or the private sector
•Ability to communicate in English
•Ability to read food labels, preparation procedures, & safety guidelines in English
•High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience desirable
•Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
•Understanding of H.A.C.C.P. procedures and food safety
•Able to multitask at fast pace environment

The letter of intent or Edjoin application shall be kept on file for the then current school year or until such time as the unit member retracts the letter of intent or Edjoin application, whichever occurs first.
NOTE: per Article 6.3.1 "Probationary unit members shall not be eligible for lateral and/or promotional transfers"
