Interested in joining a fast-growing, innovative, environmentally friendly and vertically integrated manufacturer of commercial office seating for the contract furniture market? You would be joining a very close-knit team where you would be the Jr. Buyer for this fast-growing multi-plant business. This full-time position is at our State-of-the-Art LEED Gold manufacturing facility, located in Hawthorne, CA.

You will primarily be responsible for supporting the procurement team in acquiring materials, supplies, and services essential for the company's operations. Your role would involve assisting the Supply Chain Team in sourcing products, evaluating supplier bids, and negotiating favorable terms to ensure cost-effective purchasing. Additionally, you would monitor inventory levels, track orders to ensure timely deliveries, and maintain accurate records of purchases and vendor information. Collaboration with other departments, such as sales, marketing, and finance, is crucial to align purchasing decisions with the company's overall objectives. This position will report directly to the VP of Supply Chain.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Through a global supply chain, track inventory, manage schedule, place purchase orders, and ensure on-time delivery of quality materials.
• Maintain optimum level of inventory while reducing total cost of ownership.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers.
• Maintain part information accurately in ERP, review MRP data & validate system recommendations regularly.
• Collaborate with sales department to communicate part shortages that would affect product offering.
• Collaborate with warehouse department to ensure inventory count is accurate.
• Collaborate with accounts payable department to resolve discrepancies in receipts/invoices.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate+ degree preferred.
• 2 years' experience in procurement or supply chain.
• Multi-lingual skills in Spanish and/or Chinese are a plus.
• Detail-oriented with strong communication and follow-up skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with ERP systems.

Salary Range: $23.00 -$26.00 Hourly Non-exempt
