Dispatcher - Plumbing Industry
Location: Torrance, CA (On-Site)
Pay Rate: $25 - $30/hr (Contract-to-Hire)
Schedule: Full-Time, with occasional overtime and weekend shifts. Must be comfortable being on-call 24/7 if needed.

Key Responsibilities



Coordinating & Dispatching Technicians

• Assign jobs to technicians based on urgency, skill level, and location to maximize efficiency.
• Adjust schedules and re-route technicians as issues arise, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Track job progress and technician locations to provide real-time updates to customers and management.
  
  

Customer Communication & Support

• Respond to incoming calls, emails, and service requests, gathering all necessary job details.
• Set clear expectations for customers regarding service timelines, technician arrival, and costs.
• Address customer concerns or scheduling conflicts with professionalism and problem-solving skills.
  
  

Administrative & Record-Keeping Duties

• Maintain accurate and detailed records of service requests, work orders, and technician assignments.
• Ensure all job details, technician notes, and customer interactions are documented and accessible.
• Work closely with the team to improve scheduling processes and workflow efficiency.
  
  

Qualifications

• 5+ years of dispatching experience required.
• Industry experience in Plumbing, HVAC, or Construction highly preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Strong ability to juggle multiple calls and requests while staying organized.
