Quality Control (QC) Staff (Nonexempt)
Primary Responsibilities:
In the quality control department of a food manufacturing company, perform various inspection and quality control-related tasks (approximately 40% hands-on, 60% clerical work).
Job Duties:
Perform product inspections and input data.
Create various labels and verify labeling accuracy.
Conduct routine tests such as pH, Brix, water activity, salinity, and color difference, as well as calibrate equipment.
Daily inspection and preparation of SSOP and GMP, as well as monitoring during operations. Verify CCP and PC.
Perform quality control checks required at each stage of the production process.
Register and revise data on raw materials and formulations.
Provide support in responding to quality inspections by government agencies.
Perform other duties/tasks as directed by supervisors as needed.
Qualifications:
A) High school diploma or equivalent
B) Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience preferred
C) Ability to properly handle inspection equipment and accurately read and record measurements and data
D) Strong team player who values collaboration and can communicate effectively with supervisors and other departments
Required Skills:
A) Basic knowledge of food hygiene and quality control; ability to read and understand raw material labels and allergen information
B) Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks effectively
C) Business-level English and Japanese
D) Proficiency in Windows PC and Microsoft Excel
Work Location: Santa Fe Springs
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM (overtime may be required)
Reports To: QC Supervisor and/or Manager
Compensation: $19–$25/hour (Nonexempt), salary negotiable based on experience
