Job Description

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Are you a dynamic and enthusiastic professional with a passion for precision and leadership? We're seeking a charismatic Payroll Manager to lead our payroll team and ensure our financial operations run smoothly. If you're ready to oversee payroll procedures, maintain accurate records, and guide a talented team to success, this role is ideal for you!

  • Efficient Payroll Processing: Ensure timely and accurate payroll for a company with 5,000 employees, ensuring everyone is compensated according to policies and regulations.
  • Payroll Systems Management: Manage and optimize payroll systems, stay updated on industry trends, and leverage technology to improve processes.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and support payroll professionals, fostering their development and ensuring high performance.
  • Acquisition Support: Assist in integrating payroll processes during acquisitions or mergers for seamless transitions.
  • Implementation of New Systems: Lead the rollout of new payroll systems or software to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Compliance and Audits: Conduct regular audits to verify payroll data accuracy and ensure compliance with tax laws, labor regulations, and company policies.
  • Payroll Oversight: Oversee all payroll aspects, including time tracking and tax compliance.
  • Collaboration with Auditors: Manage payroll tax audits and coordinate with auditors to ensure smooth processes.

Qualifications

MUST HAVE:

  • 10 Years of Payroll and Taxation Experience: Extensive experience managing payroll and taxes across multiple locations.
  • Proven Management Experience: Successful track record as a Payroll Manager or similar role.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Paychex, Workday, Microsoft Office, and other payroll systems.
  • Knowledge of CA Payroll Tax Laws: Strong understanding of payroll tax regulations in California.

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources, Finance, or related fields
  • Experience with ADP print and tax services
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics accounting software and accounting practices
  • Professional Certifications such as CPP or CPM
