Lab Shipping Coordinator (Cryomanagement)

Description:

The Cryomanagement Shipping Coordinator is responsible for the management and oversight of all cryogenic materials in the IVF clinic. This includes the handling, storage, shipping, and monitoring of reproductive tissues such as sperm, oocytes, embryos, and other biological samples. The coordinator ensures that all cryogenic procedures comply with established protocols and regulatory standards, maintaining the highest levels of accuracy, safety, and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cryogenic Storage Management: Oversee the proper handling, storage, and inventory management of all cryogenic materials, ensuring accurate labeling and documentation.
  • Shipping Coordination: Manage the incoming and outgoing shipments of cryogenic materials, ensuring safe and timely delivery in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Monitoring and Maintenance: Regularly monitor cryogenic storage tanks and equipment, ensuring they are functioning correctly and maintaining the required temperatures. Perform routine maintenance and coordinate repairs when necessary.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Maintain detailed records of all cryogenic materials, including storage conditions, transfers, shipping logs, and usage. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and clinic protocols.
  • Quality Control: Implement and oversee quality control measures to ensure the integrity and safety of stored materials. Conduct regular audits and inspections.
  • Communication and Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for cryogenic matters within the clinic. Collaborate with laboratory staff, clinicians, clients, and other IVF centers to coordinate the transfer, shipping, and use of cryogenic materials.
  • Training and Education: Train and educate clinic staff on cryogenic procedures, safety protocols, and the proper handling of reproductive tissues. Stay updated on industry advancements and regulatory changes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Biological Sciences, Laboratory Technology).
  • Minimum of 1 years of experience in a laboratory or clinical setting, with a focus on cryogenic management or reproductive medicine.
  • Strong knowledge of cryogenic equipment, storage techniques, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in an IVF clinic or reproductive medicine setting.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and laboratory information systems, and Microsoft Excel

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
