Moog Military Aircraft has an immediate opening for a Repair Station Quality Leader to join our team. Reporting to our Quality and Business Excellence Director, this position offers a 9/80 schedule onsite in Torrance, CA.

Role Summary:

The Repair Station Quality Leader is responsible for maintaining and ensuring the compliance of the Repair Station Quality Management System with regulatory agency and customer requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering/Technical related degree, or equivalent (8 years work experience in a similar role)
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a repair station or maintenance organization, or demonstrated equivalency
  • Experience in developing recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in aerospace/defense manufacturing industry
  • Knowledge of aerospace standards, regulatory requirements, and quality management systems
  • Understanding of regulatory agency requirements, aftermarket products, and repair station procedures
  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies
  • Strong ethical standards and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Leadership and motivational skills
  • Honesty, integrity, and professionalism
  • Independent and team working skills
  • Analytical and systems thinking skills
  • Excellent communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the regulatory liaison for the Repair Station, ensuring compliance with certification and reporting requirements
  • Develop and implement policies integrating regulatory requirements into maintenance processes
  • Oversee inspection processes to ensure compliance with maintenance data and manuals
  • Manage audits and lead corrective actions
  • Train and mentor auditors and personnel involved in maintenance activities
  • Lead Safety Management System activities and ensure aviation safety standards
  • Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory agencies
  • Travel 5-10% as needed

Additional Information:

Salary Range: $110,000 - $150,000 annually. This range reflects the position's compensation in Torrance, CA, and may vary based on experience and performance. The role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
