Job Title: Maintenance Person

The Maintenance Person is responsible for ensuring that all building premises are kept in good, safe, and fully operational condition. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the functionality and safety of both the interior and exterior areas of the property. The Maintenance Person conducts regular inspections to identify wear, damage, or equipment issues and addresses repair needs promptly. Minor repairs and maintenance tasks—such as fixing leaks, patching walls, and replacing worn items like light bulbs—are handled internally. When specialized or major repairs are required, the Maintenance Person obtains bids, schedules work, and monitors the performance of outside contractors to ensure quality and compliance with standards.

This role involves close communication with managers to assess and respond to specific maintenance requests. It also requires a clear understanding of when to escalate repairs to licensed professionals, particularly for areas involving electrical, plumbing, or HVAC systems. The Maintenance Person is expected to stay informed on relevant federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA requirements, to ensure all building operations remain compliant and safe. Recordkeeping of maintenance work, contractor services, and regulatory adherence is essential. The ideal candidate will have experience in general maintenance, possess strong troubleshooting skills, and be capable of managing multiple tasks independently while ensuring a safe and well-maintained environment.
