Quality Control Specialist (Personal Care)

Yoh, a Day & Zimmermann Company, is hiring a Quality Control Specialist (Personal Care) for our Los Angeles, CA client. The role focuses on the qualification of all cosmetic/personal care raw materials, fragrances, and bulk/intermediate products. Personal care experience is required; OTC exposure is a plus.

Job Responsibilities

1. Develop, implement, and maintain QC systems and measures.
2. Inspect and test raw materials, fragrances, in-process, and customer-supplied bulk against specifications.
3. Issue adjustments to in-process bulk if necessary.
4. Complete inspection forms for finished bulk/intermediate and raw materials and fragrances.
5. Update raw materials and bulk/intermediate status in ERP system.
6. Communicate quality control information across departments.
7. Generate reports on product nonconformance.
8. Assist investigations related to nonconformance, OOS, customer complaints, etc.
9. Maintain raw material retains.
10. Assist in updating or writing SOPs and work instructions.
11. Assist in raw material and bulk/intermediate cycle counts and inventories.
12. Demonstrate professionalism and excellent interpersonal skills.
13. Complete additional tasks as assigned.
14. Adhere to company policies and set a positive example.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences.
2. At least 2 years of quality control experience in cosmetics/personal care manufacturing.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
4. Ability to learn new software quickly.
5. Experience with laboratory equipment such as pH meters, refractometers, Brookfield viscometers, etc.

Additional Information
