Job Description

This position oversees safety, compliance with permits, and operational and financial results of the TSDF location. Collaborating with sales, customer service, accounting, and health and safety teams, the role ensures regulatory compliance, safety, and achievement of goals related to revenue, profit, and account retention. The Facility Manager leads staff and operations to ensure compliant waste handling and treatment.

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Assigns work and supervises production crew activities.
  2. Audits performance for quality, safety, and resource utilization.
  3. Manages staff hiring, firing, and development.
  4. Monitors schedules and coordinates work between shifts.
  5. Ensures compliance with regulations through record review and inspections.
  6. Protects employee, public, and environmental safety through inspections and corrective actions.
  7. Enforces safety rules, conducts safety meetings, and promotes safety culture.
  8. Responds to emergencies and oversees contingency procedures.
  9. Develops waste profiles and coordinates shipping in compliance with regulations.
  10. Performs other related tasks as assigned.

Salary

$170,000 annually.

Qualifications

Basic Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, biological sciences, chemistry, or related experience.
  • At least five years in hazardous waste or related industry.
  • Three or more years managing an operations team.
  • Knowledge of RCRA and DOT regulations.
  • Strong math, science, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently and guide teams.
  • Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer relationship skills.
