We are looking for an Inventory Associate / Material Handler to work collectively and cooperatively as part of a team ensuring materials and inventory are properly handled and stored within a timely fashion while observing the highest standards of safety and quality. The successful candidates will be reliable and punctual and able to perform physical tasks that are repetitive and lift up to 75 lbs. Ideally, our Inventory Associate will have effective communication skills, experience in a similar role for 2 years, and a positive and flexible attitude.

JOB SUMMARY:

• Load and unload inventory from loading docks, delivery trucks, storage areas, and production areas
• Store deliveries to assigned location using pallets and pallet jacks
• Manage inventory by manually counting, identifying, cataloging, and recording the location of the inventory with the use of Microsoft Excel & ERP systems
• Ensure all incoming deliveries match the company purchase order
• Organize materials for distribution
• Work cooperatively with the production, inventory, and distribution teams to meet quotas and goals
• Identify ways to enhance efficiency without sacrificing quality
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Observe all safety guidelines and report safety concerns to management
• Follow all written and verbal instructions
• Consistently demonstrate a positive and professional attitude
• Maintain confidentiality in accordance with internal standards and requirements
• May rotate duties with other teams as needed. Must be cooperative and flexible to perform different roles as requested and required.
• Able to work overtime as needed, including nights and weekends. Employees will be compensated for overtime in accordance with local, state and federal regulations.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

• High school graduate

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• 2-year experience working in industrial production is strongly preferred
• Basic experience with Microsoft Excel and equations required
• Basic math skills required
• Available to work a flexible schedule including overtime
• Capable of reading and understanding inventory documents and safety manuals
• Outstanding communication and organizational skills
• Willingness to comply with all safety guidelines at all times
• Reliable and punctual
• Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
• Attention to detail
• Ability to understand and speak basic English
• Ability to understand and speak Spanish is a plus
• Current forklift certifications are a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Manual dexterity
• Able and patient to do repetitive tasks
• Ability to learn and use various machines and hand tools
• Lifting, bending, reaching
• Able to repetitively lift up to 75 lbs. up to 80% of the day
