Customs Entry Clerk
Location: Inglewood, CA (Near LAX)
Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, Onsite
Pay: $22-$28 per hour (DOE)

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Customs Entry Clerk to join a well-established logistics team specializing in international freight forwarding, customs brokerage, and export documentation. In this role, you will be responsible for processing customs entries, preparing documentation, and coordinating with carriers, customers, and overseas partners to ensure timely and compliant shipment handling.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and process ACE filings, AES/AFR submissions, and related export documents accurately and on time.
Coordinate both air and ocean shipments from the U.S. to overseas destinations.
Work closely with carriers, truckers, warehouses, and overseas agents to ensure smooth shipment flow.
Provide accurate rate quotations to customers and agents; manage bookings with carriers and co-loaders.
Track and trace shipments and proactively communicate updates to customers and internal teams.
Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs regulations and company procedures.
Prepare and issue accurate billing and invoicing for each shipment.
Required Skills & Experience
1+ year of experience in customs entry writing, international freight forwarding, or related logistics roles
OR relevant coursework in International Business, Supply Chain, or Logistics
Familiarity with U.S. Customs regulations and ACE filings preferred
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Preferred Skills
Bilingual skills (Mandarin, Vietnamese, Korean, or Japanese)
Knowledge of HTS classification, ISF filing, and export compliance
Experience with logistics or freight forwarding software

Minimum 1 year of experience in:
Customs entry writing
International freight forwarding
Customs clearance or related logistics roles
OR relevant coursework in International Business, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, or Logistics
Familiarity with U.S. Customs regulations, ACE filings, and export documentation processes
Required Skills:
Knowledge of customs entry procedures and international shipping regulations
Experience preparing and filing documentation:
ACE (Automated Commercial Environment)
AES/AFR filings
Ability to track, trace, and coordinate shipments across air and ocean modes
Strong organizational and multitasking skills for high-volume environments
Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and invoicing
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) for working with carriers, customers, and overseas agents
