A leading aerospace manufacturer specializing in structural bolts and specialty fasteners is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join its high-performing team. This is a hands-on, project-driven role supporting continuous improvement and new product integration across a fully vertically integrated facility (forging, CNC machining, grinding, testing, and more).
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design, improvement, and troubleshooting of complex manufacturing processes and tooling
Oversee New Product Integration, including manufacturability assessments, ERP setup, and customer approvals
Develop and maintain BOMs, routings, and Work Instructions for AS9100 and NADCAP compliance
Drive quality improvement initiatives, including root cause investigations and CAPA processes
Manage CNC programming and tooling strategies for fastener and aerospace component production
Guide cross-functional teams on process optimization, safety, cost-down initiatives, and productivity projects
Support and maintain detailed documentation: specs, drawings, and manufacturing procedures
Mentor junior engineers and collaborate closely with production, QA, and operations leadership
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in aerospace or a high-precision industrial setting
Expertise in fastener manufacturing or related components strongly preferred (structural bolts, OEM specs, specialty fasteners)
Proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, ProE, or similar)
Deep knowledge of AS9100, NADCAP, GD&T, AS/MS/NAS standards, AS9102, and APQP-PPAP
Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills
