Be Part of the Story as the Sr Manager, Strategy & Operations where you will be responsible for supporting the development, implementation of strategic initiatives that drive the long-term growth and success of the Americas (inclusive of North America, Latin America) licensing business. You will work to establish key strategic priorities, identify, evaluate, pursue business opportunities and develop processes with a focus on efficiencies. The role requires strong analytical skills, business acumen, and the ability to collaborate across departments to align strategic goals with operational execution.
This role will report to the Director, Strategy & Operations.
This is a Full-Time position.
Responsibilities
Support the Director, Strategy & Operations in facilitating the execution of priorities through coordination, communication and detailed project management
Define, and analyze consumer and retail trends
across major markets, and translate analysis into meaningful takeaways to support project narrative
Work across the Americas organization (inclusive of North America, Latin America) and Disney Consumer Products Lines of Business in the development and execution of key initiatives, particularly as they relate to new business opportunities and expansion
Drive the project path for delivery with junior stakeholders
Research and analyze evolving markets, leveraging strong analytical skills and understanding of our internal operations
Create compelling, persuasive presentation materials, i.e. pitch materials, strategic planning decks, etc. to communicate key learnings and recommendations (verbally and in writing) reviewing with/presenting to stakeholders
Support the creation and implementation of transformational initiatives for the Americas region including both the long-term planning process and ongoing operational and process improvement needs
Collaborate on multiple projects at any one time, setting and meeting deliverable dates and communicating roadblocks/risks in a timely manner for deliverables. Put in place contingencies to adjust shifts.
Proactively develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across Disney Consumer Products, and other businesses across The Walt Disney Company.
5+ years of progressively complex client management experience, preferably in a licensing or retail environment, with a proven track record of successfully executing strategies and programs.
Demonstrated experience leading teams successfully including prioritizing work and driving high level output.
Deep project management and consulting experience
Experience working with executive-level contributors and stakeholders, including excellent executive level presentation skills
Strong broad based business acumen with ability to identify and plan for long term strategic growth while delivering on nearer term revenue targets.
Big picture thinker with innate curiosity to explore the unknown and challenge the status quo; provide structure and direction when it doesn't exist
Proven experience building critical partnerships in a matrix/cross cultural/media organization and driving collaboration at all levels across an organization and with external partners.
Experience working in a retail, brand organization
Strong strategic, critical thinking and financial modeling skills, with an ability to solve complex problems (prioritization, critical thinking, hypothesis creation, etc.)
Proven strong data analysis skills, including competitive analysis, with the ability to transform findings into easy-to-understand visual narratives that clearly articulate strategy, drive new initiatives, or communicate value propositions and tangible next steps to stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to think pragmatically, not just theoretically, Proven ability to be resourceful, decisive, confident under pressure, and comfortable working in a fast paced, growth-oriented, environment.
Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills and executive presence; strong storytelling abilities.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience
