Pacific Pros is seeking Sr. Project Controls Manager (Level III) for Construction Projects to represent Los Angeles World Airport (LAWA). These projects may include, but are not limited to: Airside, Airline Terminal Improvement projects, Airport Service Improvement projects, Terminal Development projects, and Asset Renewal.

Note: Project Controls Managers with less experience may be needed in the near future. Candidates are encouraged to contact Pacific Pros for upcoming opportunities.

Work Location: LAWA requires candidates to be local.

Region: Los Angeles, CA

Status: Full-time on-site.

Opening: Spring 2025, immediate consideration.

Essential Job Duties:

• Review project activities to support milestones. Develop micro-phasing schedules to coordinate challenging work phases and facilitate coordination among parties.
• Engage with designers, contractors, and third-party entities to identify and mitigate project risks.
• Review contractor pay applications, ensuring consistency with schedules and progress documents.
• Coordinate cost recording, monitoring, and reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Develop and maintain schedule resource loading, leveling, and monitoring activities.
• Provide progress reports and briefing materials; develop tools to communicate project sequencing and progress. Report budget and schedule variances promptly.
• Understand and appreciate time frames for disciplines such as BHS, Special Systems, Power, HVAC, etc.
• Previous project controls experience on large-scale construction projects, especially aviation-related, is required.
• Self-starter with proactive, results-oriented attitude; willing to assume additional responsibilities.
• Proven track record of performance, responsibility, and growth.
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to interface with diverse technical and educational backgrounds; detail-oriented and organized; produce accurate, timely results with a customer-service focus.
• Inspire the controls team with a positive, can-do spirit to produce accurate results quickly.

Hardware/Software Knowledge:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
• Experience with industry software such as Expedition, Primavera P6 (preferred), and Prolog (desired).
• Experience with Adobe Acrobat.

Required Qualifications:

• US employment authorization without sponsorship.
• Relevant education/training as specified.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and compliance with PACIFIC's Vehicle Policy.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
• At least 15 years of project controls experience in construction, preferably in airport/public sectors.
• Experience managing large, complex projects with detailed progress reporting.
• Experience with Design-Build and Construction Management at Risk methods is a plus.
• Ability to understand complex construction programs and communicate progress effectively to technical and management audiences.

Education/Training:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, business, or related field.
• Master's degree is a plus.

Element-Specific Requirements/Notes:

• Experience in aviation projects preferred.
• May need to perform additional duties as required.
• May work beyond regular shifts and various shifts as needed.
• This position may offer a hybrid/telework schedule per LAWA's current Pilot Telework Policy, with potential telework on Monday and Friday, onsite Tuesday through Thursday. LAWA may require full onsite work.
