Known for their commitment to integrity and collaboration, we are seeking a Senior Accountant to join their growing finance team. Reporting to the Controller, this role will play a key role in strengthening financial operations, supporting program leaders, and contributing to the organization's long-term sustainability.

Role Overview:

• Lead and execute monthly close activities, including preparing and reviewing journal entries and ensuring timely financial reporting
• Manage general ledger reconciliations and maintain accurate accounting records in accordance with GAAP
• Support annual audits and compliance reporting requirements
• Collaborate with program and development staff on grant and contract tracking, reporting, and budget alignment
• Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen internal controls and increase efficiency
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and internal reports for leadership and stakeholders

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3+ years of accounting experience; nonprofit or fund accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP
• Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, MIP, NetSuite, or similar)
