Responsibilities:
- Lead system integration efforts, ensuring seamless interoperability of hardware and software components.
- Develop and implement strategies for process improvement, driving efficiency and effectiveness across the engineering function.
- Design, develop and test aerospace hardware and mission computer systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Manage complex projects, coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver on time and within budget.
- Apply systems engineering principles to solve complex problems, developing innovative solutions that meet customer requirements.
- Develop high-quality technical documentation, clearly communicating system design and functionality.
- Conduct requirements analysis, translating customer needs into actionable engineering requirements.
- Manage system configuration, ensuring the integrity and traceability of system components.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers, providing expert guidance on system design and integration.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems engineering, preferably in the aerospace industry.
- Proven experience with system integration, process improvement, aerospace hardware, and mission computer systems.
- Demonstrated project management skills, with a track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Strong knowledge of software development principles and practices.
- Excellent technical writing skills, with the ability to develop clear, concise documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct requirements analysis and translate customer needs into actionable engineering requirements.
- Experience with configuration management, ensuring the integrity and traceability of system components.
- Solid understanding of hardware engineering principles and practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a track record of developing innovative solutions to complex problems.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with a diverse team of professionals.
