Client is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer with strong expertise in schematic capture, PCB layout, and firmware development. Key Responsibilities
Perform schematic capture for analog and digital electronics designs
Lead PCB layout from concept through production release
Develop and debug firmware for microcontrollers and FPGAs
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to integrate hardware and firmware solutions
Support testing, troubleshooting, and verification of designs to meet program requirements
Create and maintain clear technical documentation, including design specifications and test procedures
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
Minimum 5 years of experience in:
Schematic capture and PCB layout for analog and digital electronics
Firmware development for microcontrollers and FPGAs
Strong email, verbal communication, specification, and documentation skills
U.S. citizenship required (due to government contract requirements)
Local candidates and principals only (no agencies)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience writing Data Items (Contractor Data Requirements List)
Skilled in designing interfaces between the data link and physical layers in the OSI Model
Familiarity with configuration management tools such as SOLIDWORKS PDM or similar
Knowledge of relevant MIL-STDs, including DO-254
Experience with industry-standard video protocols:
SMPTE 259, 292, 424 (SD, HD, 3G-SDI)
NTSC
HDMI/DVI
DisplayPort
VGA
MPEG-4/H.264 encoding
