Junior Accountant

Description:

A well-established manufacturing company located in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join their growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with 1-3 years of experience to gain hands-on exposure in the manufacturing sector and build a strong foundation for career growth.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processing, including vendor invoices, customer billing, and payment tracking
  • Perform bank and account reconciliations on a regular basis
  • Support the month-end and year-end close process, preparing journal entries and maintaining general ledger accuracy
  • Assist with inventory accounting and cost tracking specific to the manufacturing process
  • Prepare and maintain financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation for management and auditors
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations and supply chain to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Maintain compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
  • Provide support to the Senior Accountant and Controller with ad-hoc projects and analyses
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
  • 1-3 years of accounting experience, ideally within the manufacturing or related industry
  • Strong understanding of general ledger, AP/AR, and reconciliations
  • Proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.); ERP system experience preferred (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar)
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
