Phlebotomist – Float Position
Pay Rate: $25/hour
Location: Long Beach, Orange, and surrounding areas (South LA to Irvine)
Mileage Reimbursement: Provided
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and flexible Phlebotomist to join our team in a float capacity. This role supports multiple locations across Southern California and is ideal for candidates who thrive in dynamic environments and are passionate about patient care.
Schedule:
Weekly schedules provided by hiring manager
Must be available between 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Will work 8-hour shifts within this time frame
Key Responsibilities:
Perform venipunctures and collect specimens (blood, urine, fecal) following proper procedures
Label, centrifuge, split, and store specimens according to test requirements
Maintain specimen integrity during transport and storage
Update patient information and match requisition forms accurately
Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations
Answer phone inquiries and relay lab results as needed
Attend annual department trainings
Minimum Qualifications:
At least 6 months of experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting
Experience with pediatric and geriatric populations
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
High School Diploma or GED
2–4 years of relevant experience
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
