Phlebotomist – Float Position

Pay Rate: $25/hour

Location: Long Beach, Orange, and surrounding areas (South LA to Irvine)

Mileage Reimbursement: Provided

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and flexible Phlebotomist to join our team in a float capacity. This role supports multiple locations across Southern California and is ideal for candidates who thrive in dynamic environments and are passionate about patient care.

Schedule:

• Weekly schedules provided by hiring manager

• Must be available between 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM

• Will work 8-hour shifts within this time frame

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform venipunctures and collect specimens (blood, urine, fecal) following proper procedures

• Label, centrifuge, split, and store specimens according to test requirements

• Maintain specimen integrity during transport and storage

• Update patient information and match requisition forms accurately

• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations

• Answer phone inquiries and relay lab results as needed

• Attend annual department trainings

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least 6 months of experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting

• Experience with pediatric and geriatric populations

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

• High School Diploma or GED

• 2–4 years of relevant experience

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
