YYoh is hiring a Microbiological Laboratory Technician for our Santa Fe Springs client. In the Microbiological Lab Technician role, you will be focused on sampling, testing, measuring, recording and analyzing results. They are seeking a highly motivated and independent technician with a strong background Bacterial Endotoxin Testing (BET) and Bioburden Testing to join the team. This position will also provide all the required technical support to enable the laboratory to function effectively, while adhering to correct procedures and health and safety guidelines.

Job Functions
- Calibration of laboratory test equipment and maintenance records for equipment
- Perform Bioburden and Bacterial Endotoxin Testing (BET) for in-house medical devices
- Run steam sterilization (autoclave)
- Perform viable and non-viable Environmental Monitoring (EM) of cleanrooms
- Mix chemicals and daily QC checks of in-process batch mixing and passivation chemistry
- Prepare loads for EO and gamma sterilization
- Perform package Visual, Seal Strength, and Integrity Testing
- Perform Total Organic Carbon (TOC), pH, Optical Density (OD), Osmolality, Viscosity for in-house medical devices
- Prepare production medical devices with administrative paperwork to be sent to outside labs
- Comply with all Company policies and procedures, including safety rules and regulations
- Bachelor's degree in a Life Science discipline or related field desired
- 2+ years of experience performing Bacterial Endotoxin Testing (BET), Bioburden Testing, Limulus Amebocyte Lysate testing (LAL), Microbiological, and Analytical testing experience required
- Experience in nutraceuticals, medical device, or pharmaceutical industry.
