Overview

HDR is providing PM/CM services for the Los Angeles World Airports ATMP Landside Improvements Project. The project will deliver critical improvements to the roadways, streets, and thoroughfares in and around the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) campus. HDR will assist with the management of projects throughout the design, preconstruction, and construction phases, from inception to closeout. HDR is proud to lead a strong team of world-class professionals to sculpt this project that is a key part of the infrastructure transformation ahead of the 2028 Olympics and will serve millions of travelers and Angelenos for decades to come.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, budget and supervise construction projects and/or project packages from start to completion
  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets and work timetables, often in conjunction with other specialists
  • Interpret and explain contracts, requirements and technical information to other professionals
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, designers and other construction staff
  • Monitor projects and report progress and budget matters
  • Respond to work delays, emergencies and other problems with the project
  • Ensure that the project complies with legal requirements such as safety codes
  • Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications such as Professional Engineer (PE), Certified Construction Manager (CCM), AAAE, LEED, or PMP
  • 15 years of construction experience preferably on roadways
  • Experience with estimating software, scheduling software, project management software and web-based collaboration software for the exchange of documents

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Construction Science or closely related field or equivalent work experience
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in various aspects of construction planning and management, including contracts, documentation, time, cost, quality management; change management; site safety; estimating, bidding, purchasing, subcontracts, scheduling, and cost control
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with construction management software such as Procore, Prolog, Primavera, Bluebeam, etc.
  • Strong people skills and the ability to interact with the Owner, Engineer, Contractor and other project stakeholders
  • Commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture
