Blitz is a quickly growing and self-sustaining startup that provides gamers with personalized stats and insights powered by billions of matches. As the Director of Product Design, you will lead the design strategy and execution across Blitz's product lineup, guiding the user experience for mobile-first, gamified platforms and experiences. You will report to the VP of Product and manage a design team while partnering with Product, Engineering, QA, and Data Science to deliver designs aligned with the Blitz brand.

This position requires onsite presence Monday–Thursday at our Los Angeles (Playa Vista) office, with the option to work from home on Friday.

Responsibilities

• Drive the overall design vision for Blitz's products with a mobile-first and gamified focus.
• Lead design strategy and execute across the product lineup.
• Apply user-centric design principles and collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, QA, and Data Science teams.
• Develop brand narrative and optimize design processes to improve efficiency and impact.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in product design with leadership experience.
• Mastery of Figma and other design tools.
• Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Passion for innovation and crafting compelling user experiences.

Nice to have

• Personal experience with Blitz or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with HTML/CSS and/or React.js.
• Experience in design system development.

Location

Onsite Monday–Thursday at the Los Angeles (Playa Vista) office; Friday may be remote.
