Compliance Consultant V - Privacy and Security


The ideal candidate will bring strong privacy and security experience, including a demonstrated ability to conduct thorough privacy investigations, and possess strong legal acumen. ComplianceConsultant V will be part of the CA Privacy Investigations Team and work alongside team members to investigate violations of privacy and security requirements, advising operations on related issues. This role will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including front-line operations and other national functions, to ensure compliance with federal and state privacy and security regulations.





Job Summary:

This senior individual contributor is primarily responsible for conducting compliance activities in partnership with internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities include leading compliance reporting and investigations, implementing compliance efforts, and monitoring regulatory changes. The role also involves managing projects or components of larger cross-functional projects, including stakeholder management.



Essential Responsibilities:


  • Promote self-leadership and learning by building relationships, communicating effectively, influencing team members, and providing feedback for continuous improvement.

  • Lead or oversee business-specific projects using deep expertise, ensuring adherence to procedures, developing work plans, coordinating resources, and solving complex problems.

  • Partner with stakeholders to conduct compliance activities, applying regulations and standards, designing initiatives, analyzing regulatory changes, and documenting efforts.

  • Lead compliance reporting by evaluating data, summarizing risks, and presenting findings to management.

  • Manage compliance investigations by collecting data, conducting interviews, researching issues, and recommending corrective actions.

  • Oversee projects or project components by managing stakeholders, developing plans, and controlling project schedules and budgets.

  • Monitor and interpret regulatory changes, analyze impacts, and oversee the implementation of necessary adjustments.

  • Drive compliance efforts by assessing current compliance, identifying gaps, revising standards and policies, and monitoring adherence.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • At least three (3) years in a leadership role, with or without direct reports.

  • Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration, Clinical, Law, Public Health, Business, or related field, plus at least eight (8) years of experience in compliance, healthcare operations, audit, finance, regulatory affairs, investigations, information security, or related fields. Equivalent work experience may substitute for the degree.
