Director, Enterprise Systems

Description

As the Director, Enterprise Systems at Impulse, you will oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of our ERP systems to support the company's core functions including manufacturing, supply chain, finance, inventory, and production planning. This role bridges technical systems with business operations and plays a critical role in enabling real-time visibility, efficient decision-making, and operational excellence across our space hardware programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic roadmap, implementation, and administration of the company's ERP platform (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
• Partner with manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and finance teams to define business requirements and align ERP functionality accordingly
• Drive continuous improvement of ERP workflows and reporting tools to support real-time operations
• Manage and mentor a team of ERP analysts, system administrators, and integration specialists
• Coordinate with IT and cybersecurity to ensure ERP system security, compliance, and data integrity
• Oversee vendor relationships and third-party consultants for ERP configuration, upgrades, and support
• Develop KPIs and dashboards to provide insights into company performance and resource allocation
• Ensure ERP scalability as the company grows into multiple facilities, programs, and international operations

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
• 10+ years of experience in ERP systems, with at least 3+ years in a leadership or director-level role
• Strong understanding of manufacturing and supply chain processes, ideally in aerospace or high-complexity hardware environments
• Ability to translate business processes into technical solutions and vice versa
• Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Demonstrated success in implementing or leading ERP deployments and system transformations
• Demonstrated experience with ERP integrations to PLM, MES, CRM, and financial systems
• Experience in a high-growth, fast-paced manufacturing startup or space/aerospace company
• ERP certifications (e.g., NetSuite Administrator, SAP Certified Professional)
• Knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards (e.g., ITAR, SOX)

Additional Information: Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options, and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
