Job Description

The Senior Associate will be based in the Santa Monica office and will assist with the management of a portfolio of commercial estate loans.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist with managing existing loan portfolio to ensure compliance with terms of loan agreement and recommends corrective action on variances.
• Management of all ad hoc and regulatory reporting within existing portfolio.
• Provides day-to-day servicing of portfolio including credit risk monitoring.
• Calculate loan interest, loan payment amount, APR, escrow payment etc. based on the term on the loan memo or worksheet.
• Prepare checklists for all loans to be closed.
• Review loan documents prepared by attorney and instructed attorney to send to the title company.
• Manage ordering appraisal and environmental reports.
• Create detailed financial analyses of commercial real estate financing opportunities using excel and Argus.
• Ensures legal documents are complete and accurate according to policy prior to closing.
• Maintains database and monitors performance of loans.
• Supervise all aspects of servicing for all loans including participations and syndications.
• Assist with preparing internal investment memoranda.

Job Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree.
• Experience: 3-6 years of loan portfolio management or related experience.
• Detail oriented with excellent organizational and analytical skills
• Must have the ability to effectively multi-task.
• Ability to understand loan documents.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent Microsoft Excel Skills
