Location: Los Angeles County (Remote/Field-Based with One Office Day Weekly)
The Coalition for Engaged Education (C-Youth) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to serving system-impacted youth across Los Angeles County. Through our trauma-informed, restorative, and strengths-based Mobile Case Management model, we support justice-impacted and current/former foster youth with the resources and relationships they need to thrive.
Position SummaryThe Case Resource Specialist plays a vital role in connecting youth to the services and support they need to achieve stability and success. This includes coordinating access to education, employment, housing, and mental health resources. The ideal candidate is deeply committed to Positive Youth Development (PYD), collaborative by nature, and experienced in navigating systems and community-based services.
This position is primarily remote, requiring four days in the field and one day in the office per week.
Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Support & Community Coordination
· Collaborate with the Director of Impact to identify youth needs and connect them with appropriate resources
· Build and maintain partnerships with local community-based organizations (CBOs)
· Support planning and facilitation of youth-centered community events and workshops
· Ensure resource offerings align with organizational values and goals
Resource Navigation & Case Support
· Provide direct support to youth by identifying and coordinating access to individualized resources
· Maintain accurate records of all referrals and engagement
· Develop and maintain a shared resource database for staff
· Assist in crisis response by linking youth and families with emergency support services
Youth Engagement & Advocacy
· Advocate for youth access to essential services and opportunities
· Engage youth in skill-building, life readiness, and empowerment programming
· Facilitate youth participation in community panels and public events
Team & Administrative Support
· Support Youth Navigators and MSW interns in resource navigation
· Provide training to staff on available resources and referral protocols
· Maintain compliance with internal documentation standards
· Track and report expenditures related to resource coordination
· Submit timesheets and expense reimbursements on schedule
Qualifications· Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field preferred
· Minimum 2–3 years of experience in case management, resource coordination, or a related role
· Lived experience in relevant systems is highly valued and encouraged
· Experience working with youth impacted by juvenile justice, foster care, or similar systems
· Proficiency with data systems (e.g., Apricot) and strong organizational skills
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Knowledge of local resources and services available to at-promise youth
· Ability to pass a background check
· Valid CA driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance required
Compensation & Benefits· Annual salary: $62,400
