Akkodis is seeking Business Systems Analyst III for a 12 Months Contract Hybrid at Burbank CA

Rate Range: $66.00 P/HR - $70.00 P/HR; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Business Analyst - Power BI & Business Central (Dynamics 365 ERP)

Seeking a Business Analyst to lead data-driven initiatives supporting our Comics Publishing business. This role blends advanced analytics, Power BI expertise, and ERP optimization to drive strategic decision making and operational efficiency. with cross-functional teams to build scalable data infrastructure, deliver actionable insights, and enhance our Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Design and build Power BI dashboards to provide real-time insights across Sales, Finance, and Publishing.
• Collaborate with technical teams to develop data models, mapping diagrams, and self-service datasets.
• Optimize data storage across data lakes, warehouses, and source systems through rationalization efforts.
• Drive Power BI adoption through training, documentation, and support.
• Facilitate business requirements gathering and define future-state workflows for ERP process optimization.
• Document functional specs, process maps, and support QA/UAT testing for reporting and ERP enhancements.
• Deliver comprehensive test plans, user stories, and functional documentation.
• Create and maintain data flow diagrams, risk logs, and issue registers.
• Support strategic initiatives with ad-hoc analysis and project documentation.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst with a focus on data analytics, reporting and ERP systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Power BI, DAX, SQL, and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Strong experience with ETL processes, data modeling, data architecture and AI/ML data solutions
• Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Solid understanding of both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
• Experience applying design thinking principles to develop user-centric solutions and process improvements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in Media & Entertainment or Publishing industries.
• Familiarity with publishing workflows and product lifecycle management.
• Experience with customized ERP applications and data infrastructure design.
