Embedded Platform Engineer

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Embedded Software Engineer to design and implement ISO 26262-compliant software for distributed embedded systems with multiple microcontrollers/ECUs. You will develop scalable, reusable software architectures for time-critical and safety-critical applications, ensuring compliance with functional safety standards. Responsibilities include creating efficient real-time software components, optimizing system performance, and collaborating for validation and integration.

Your tasks will involve defining system requirements for power, compute, and communication, profiling and optimizing resource usage, hardware validation, labcar testing, and setting up automated testing frameworks (unit, SIL, HIL).

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Automotive ECU firmware development experience
• Embedded system design using C
• Low-level firmware debugging skills
• Experience with bare-metal and RTOS environments
• Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence
• Understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals

Highly Desired:

• Vehicle networking experience with T1S
• Knowledge of ISO 26262 and functional safety
• Experience with GreenHills, u-velOSity, VX-Works
• Driver development and software integration with RTOS
• Hardware debugging and verification at bench/HIL
• Build tools like Bazel, CMake
• Scripting skills (Python or similar)
• Hardware bring-up, system debugging, PCB analysis
• Software design principles, power management, low-power modes
• Excellent communication for multidisciplinary collaboration

Estimated Max Rate: $95.00
