My client is experiencing rapid growth and is seeking a qualified Senior Engineer to add to its team:

Sr. Manufacturing Engineer

• Analyze and improve existing processes in the fabrication of permanent magnets and magnet assemblies with respect to quality, productivity and cost.
• Troubleshoot and correct process issues.
• Identify, specify, layout and implement new fabrication and assembly processes.
• Author procedures and work instructions per QMS requirements.
• Other engineering functions as assigned.

Requirements:

• 5 years of manufacturing experience, including extensive knowledge and hands on experience in assembly and basic machining processes which include: wire EDM, surface grinding, slicing, and OD grinding.
• Experience working with small and close tolerance parts +/-0.0005”
• Experience handling rare earth permanent magnets or materials with similar characteristics, such as ceramics and ferrite, highly desired.
• Experience with spray coatings is also highly desired.
• BS Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering
• Strong communication skills, ability to communicate complex engineering issues to all parties, including customers, management and shop operators.
• Very detail oriented.
• Positive attitude; enjoys working in a collaborative work environment.
• Excellent work ethic.
