As a team member of the Phlebotomy Float Pool, you will be assigned to assist various ambulatory sites, such as Ronald Reagan Hospital and Santa Monica Hospital. Duties include: - Perform phlebotomy on inpatients and outpatients for all ages - Triage all lab samples and requests after verification of appropriate information - Centrifuge, measure and aliquot and/or preserve - Enter and verify patient and test info into computer - Generate computer labels for specimens and deliver to appropriate areas - Prepare samples for transport to referral labs or storage - Prepare written reports to document phlebotomy draws, test results, test added, or deleted/rejected specimens - Prepare batch or outside lab referral specimens' documentation - Perform inventory count - Assist in monitoring workflow and schedules. Shift hours include: - 4:00 am-12:30 pm - 12:30-9:00 pm - 8:30 pm-5:00 am. This is a per diem position and you may not necessarily be assigned to work the entire shift.
