Head of Marketing and Business Development

Compensation Range: $225,000 - 250,000 per year
We are looking for a strategic and entrepreneurial leader to drive our brand's growth and expansion in the U.S. market. The ideal candidate will be a brand champion with a strong background in beauty and wellness, possessing a unique blend of marketing and business development expertise. This role is a pivotal position with significant potential for growth, including potential advancement to a General Manager position for our U.S. operations.
We are seeking a product educator with a strong background in brand and retail marketing. Candidates with a track record of developing and executing go-to-market strategies will stand out.
Responsibilities
- Lead U.S. Market Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy for the U.S. market, focusing on new customer acquisition and strategic retail partnerships.
- Manage Key Retailer Relationships: Own and nurture the relationship with a major anchor retail partner, driving growth through door expansion, promotional events, and enhanced e-commerce exposure.
- Oversee Retail Operations: Manage and lead the U.S. retail fleet, including store performance, local event planning, and budget oversight to drive brand visibility and customer engagement.
- Pioneer Growth Opportunities: Identify and pursue new business opportunities beyond the primary retail partner, including conversations with other major retailers, e-commerce platforms, and vertically integrated channels.
- Brand & Growth Marketing: Collaborate with the global marketing team to maintain brand integrity while developing and implementing growth marketing strategies to achieve new customer acquisition targets.
Qualifications
- Industry Expertise: 8-10 years in beauty or wellness, with strong experience in brand marketing and commercial functions. Product Educator experience is highly preferred.
- Retail Partner Experience: Experience with a major retail partner (Ulta) and a proven track record of growing a brand within their ecosystem.
- Entrepreneurial Mindset: Strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit, focused on proactive business development.
- Commercial Acumen: Experience in business development, account management, and evaluating new market opportunities and partnerships.
- Leadership: Strong leadership and storytelling skills with accountability and the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
