Base pay range

$130,000.00/yr - $160,000.00/yr

Are you looking to join a dynamic and rapidly expanding organization? A prestigious real estate investment firm is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join their growing team.

This is a direct-hire opportunity offering a competitive salary range of $130k–$160k, with an impressive bonus structure!

As an Accounting Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the accounting and finance division, overseeing day-to-day operations and ensuring the accurate preparation of financial statements, reporting, and compliance within the firm. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership, investment teams, and various departments to support financial operations while ensuring adherence to internal controls, regulatory standards, and best practices.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial services, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. Experience in accounting within the real estate industry and/or financial institutions is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all accounting functions, including financial statement preparation, general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll.
  • Ensure strict compliance with financial regulations, internal policies, and industry best practices.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, forecasts, and variance analyses to provide accurate data to senior management.
  • Coordinate and manage month-end and year-end closing processes and audit preparations.
  • Establish and maintain internal controls to protect company assets.
  • Prepare tax filings and work with external auditors during the audit process.
  • Mentor and guide junior accounting staff to foster their professional growth.
  • Collaborate with investment teams to track portfolio performance, valuations, and capital transactions.
  • Assist in budget preparation, cash flow projections, and capital allocation.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve accounting systems and workflows.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least two years in financial services, real estate, or the investment industry.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements within the investment sector.
  • Proven experience with financial statement preparation, analysis, and reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
