Position: Graduate International / Communications Assistant
Department: International Admissions / Communications
Location: Los Angeles, CA 90089-0911 (100% Remote – Local candidates only)
Pay: $20–$25/hr
Duration: Through February 27, 2025
Start Date: November 2025
Hours: 20–25 hours/week (Part-time)
Key Responsibilities:
• Review and approve application fee waiver requests
• Notify prospective students about missing documents and upload required materials into the university's imaging system
• Respond professionally to application status inquiries
• Refer non-admission questions to appropriate university offices
• Maintain confidentiality while handling applicant documentation and communications
• Training will be provided
Requirements:
• Excellent written communication skills
• Experience handling student/application fees (MUST HAVE)
• Comfortable using CRM systems
• Strong attention to detail
• Critical thinking skills — ability to interpret unclear applicant emails
• Patience, tact, and cultural sensitivity when working with international students
• Ability to stay calm and focused in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Ability to prioritize time-sensitive tasks
• Must understand university confidentiality policies
• Associate Degree required
• Experience in international education or higher education preferred
