The client is currently seeking a talented Employment Defense Attorney to join their respected and collaborative team in Encino, CA. The position offers the opportunity to work on high-quality matters while maintaining a healthy work-life balance through a flexible hybrid schedule.

Base pay range

$200,000.00/yr - $350,000.00/yr

Key Responsibilities

• Defend employers in employment litigation, including single-plaintiff, class action, and PAGA matters in state and federal courts
• Represent clients in administrative proceedings (e.g., DFEH/CRD, EEOC, DLSE)
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery
• Advise clients on day-to-day employment law issues including wage & hour, discipline, leave laws, and workplace policies
• Draft and revise employee handbooks, policies, and employment agreements
• Participate in mediations, depositions, and trial preparation
• Support partners and collaborate with the team on complex cases and client counseling

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active member in good standing with the California State Bar
• 2+ years of labor & employment defense experience (plaintiff-side experience will be considered if transitioning to defense)
• Experience with wage & hour litigation, PAGA claims, and discrimination/harassment cases

Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary for this position is between [$200,000 – $350,000 annually]. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
