Job Summary:
The Certified Phlebotomy Technician is responsible for performing phlebotomy, specimen processing, micro plating, and assisting the Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) in the laboratory. Professional application of the laboratory's principles, theories, techniques of phlebotomy and specimen processing will be required. This position reports to the lead laboratory assistant, laboratory manager/supervisor, and/or the administrative director of Laboratory services. Actively and consistently contributes to department operations and communications, behaves in a manner consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Pipeline Health, upholding standards of AIDET (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, Thank you) patient communication.
