Position Overview

Puente Hills Ford is hiring an experienced Transmission Technician to support our high volume service department. This role is focused on advanced transmission diagnostics, repair, and rebuild work. The ideal candidate has strong drivability experience, is comfortable with complex powertrain systems, and takes pride in precision repairs.

Ford certification and transmission experience are strongly preferred.

Pay

• $40 to $60 per hour, based on experience, certifications, and skill level.

• Flat rate structure with strong earning potential.

Job Type and Schedule

• Full time

• Monday through Friday

• Occasional Saturdays as business needs require

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and rebuild automatic and manual transmission systems

• Perform advanced drivability and powertrain diagnostics

• Conduct road tests before and after repairs to verify results

• Accurately document all repairs, inspections, and test results

• Communicate findings and repair recommendations with service advisors

• Follow Ford repair procedures and dealership standards

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

• Use electronic diagnostic equipment and scan tools effectively

Qualifications

• Ford certification required

• Ford transmission certification preferred

• Minimum one year of transmission repair experience required

• One or more years of dealership or fleet experience

• ASE certification is a plus

• CDL preferred but not required

• Strong diagnostic, mechanical, and problem solving skills

• Ability to operate modern diagnostic equipment

• Self motivated, professional, and team oriented

• Must supply own tools

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record

• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
