Title: Quality Inspector
Location: Chatsworth, CA
Contract to Hire
Pay: $21-$23/Hour based on experience


Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented professional to support inspection activities at our Chatsworth location. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in aerospace inspections, strong measurement capabilities, and the ability to interpret technical documentation to ensure full compliance with customer, regulatory, and internal requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections on aerospace components and assemblies.
  • Use precision measurement equipment, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, optical comparators, and other inspection tools.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
  • Apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) concepts during inspection activities.
  • Review and verify Certificates of Conformance, material certifications, and supporting documentation.
  • Document inspection findings, initiate NCRs, and support RCCA processes.
  • Ensure all inspection activities comply with AS9100 requirements and internal procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and complete inspection records.
  • Communicate inspection results clearly to operations, engineering, and quality leadership.
  • Support internal and external audits as required.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years of aerospace manufacturing inspection experience.
  • Strong ability to use measurement equipment for dimensional and visual inspection.
  • Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge and practical application of GD&T.
  • English speaking; Spanish bilingual skills are a plus.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 requirements is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.
