We are looking for a dynamic Chief Sales Officer (CSO) to join our leadership team, bring strong industry relationships, and drive growth in key retail sectors such as electronics, sporting goods, home improvement, and beauty products.

Position Overview:
The Chief Sales Officer (CSO) will lead the company's sales strategy and execution, focusing on building strong relationships with top U.S. retailers and brands. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in selling software and marketing solutions to retail companies, a proven track record of managing high-level relationships, and a network of C-suite contacts in the retail sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Leadership & Strategy:
    • Develop and execute the overall sales strategy targeting key retail sectors such as electronics, sporting goods, home improvement, and beauty products.
    • Lead the sales team in identifying new opportunities, securing deals, and expanding into new markets.
    • Drive revenue growth through direct relationships with top-tier U.S. retailers and brands.
    • Set and achieve ambitious sales targets, ensuring alignment with the company's broader business goals.
  • Retail Sector Expertise:
    • Leverage extensive knowledge and experience in the retail industry, particularly in segments where consumers often seek product advice (electronics, sporting goods, home improvement, beauty).
    • Understand the unique challenges faced by retail brands and deliver tailored software and marketing solutions that address their needs.
    • Maintain awareness of retail market trends, competitor offerings, and new technologies to inform the company's go-to-market approach.
  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with C-suite executives and decision-makers at leading U.S. retail brands.
    • Serve as the face of the company to key retail clients, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and repeat business.
    • Develop strategies to deepen relationships with existing accounts while identifying and engaging new prospects.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
    • Collaborate closely with the CEO, Product, Marketing, and Technology teams to ensure alignment between product offerings and market needs.
    • Provide feedback from the field to guide product development, sales enablement, and marketing strategies.
    • Communicate sales goals, progress, and insights to stakeholders across the company, fostering transparency and collaboration.
  • Team Leadership & Development:
    • Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing sales team.
    • Provide ongoing training, support, and motivation to ensure the team exceeds performance expectations.
    • Foster a culture of success, accountability, and high standards within the sales department.
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of sales experience in the technology industry, with significant exposure to the retail sector.
  • Proven track record of selling software or marketing solutions to U.S. retailers.
  • Deep industry contacts with C-suite executives at major U.S. retail brands (e.g., electronics, sporting goods, home improvement, beauty products).
  • Strong understanding of retail sales cycles, challenges, and opportunities in various segments.
  • Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with a passion for developing high-performing sales teams.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at the highest levels.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience working in a tech startup or fast-growing company.
