As a Facilities and Machinery Maintenance Technician, you will support the upkeep, machinery maintenance, safety, and day-to-day operations of our aerospace facility. You will work hands-on across mechanical, electrical, and general maintenance tasks while supporting rover production, testing, and logistics. This role is ideal for someone who takes ownership, enjoys variety in their work, and thrives in a fast-paced aerospace environment. This is a temporary position for up to six months, depending on project timelines.
Perform overhauls and maintenance on equipment including milling machines, lathes, and electric motors. Support automotive and diesel maintenance. Handle general facility upkeep including painting, patching, and cleaning. Perform plumbing, electrical, framing, and general repair work. Support machining, welding, and fabrication tasks. Assist with rover test equipment setup and shop upkeep. Organize, track, and maintain tools, parts, and consumables. Document inspections, maintenance activities, and repairs. Use shop tools including welders, multimeters, calipers, and crimpers. Conduct daily and weekly safety checks and inspections. Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas. Support shipping, receiving, and heavy equipment moves. Safely drive a truck and trailer for logistics support. Operate a forklift (certification required). Collaborate with engineers, technicians, vendors, and facilities partners.
3+ years of facilities maintenance or related hands-on experience, such as an auto mechanic, machinist, or fabrication. Experience with plumbing, wiring, welding, machining, or automotive systems. Familiarity with machine tools and shop equipment. Ability to read schematics, blueprints, or technical drawings. Experience with inventory tracking and maintenance systems. Aerospace warehouse or facilities experience is a plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Interest in aerospace hardware and facility operations.
