Design Program Manager
Role Overview
This role supports an Experience Design organization focused on building strong team culture, operational excellence, and high-impact internal programs. The Design Program Manager will lead team events, manage key operational rhythms, and oversee third-party budget tracking while supporting a fun, fast-paced, and highly collaborative design environment. This is a temporary role covering a maternity leave.

Key Responsibilities
Program & Project Management
  • Plan and execute design open houses and monthly all-hands meetings
  • Support internal presentations, events, and team-wide initiatives
  • Manage timelines, deliverables, and execution across multiple workstreams
Budget Management
  • Oversee third-party budget related to outsourcing, tooling, and research
  • Create and track purchase orders
  • Monitor spend and provide reporting to finance and leadership as needed
Event Planning & Team Engagement
  • Run live events and presentations that support team engagement and culture
  • Partner closely with leadership to deliver well-executed, high-energy team experiences
  • Support initiatives that uplift morale and strengthen team connection
Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Meet regularly with the hiring manager (three 1:1s per week)
  • Balance time between meetings and hands-on execution (approximately 50/50)
  • Collaborate closely with design and cross-functional partners
Nice to Have
  • Experience using Figma
  • Background supporting creative or design teams
  • Product management experience
Experience & Qualifications
  • 6+ years of experience in design program management
  • Experience supporting design operations or creative organizations
  • Strong familiarity with project management tools and adaptability to new systems
  • Proven budget management experience
  • Experience planning and running events for large teams
