Dental Biller – Full Time

Lakewood Dental Arts | Lakewood, CA 32–40 hours per week

Lakewood Dental Arts is a well-established, multi-specialty dental practice seeking an experienced Dental Biller to join our administrative team. This role is essential in supporting accurate billing, insurance follow-up, and patient account management.

Responsibilities

Submit and manage electronic dental insurance claims

Post insurance and patient payments accurately

Follow up on unpaid, denied, or underpaid claims

Send patient statements and monitor account balances

Assist callers with account inquiries, including billing and insurance questions

Collect patient account balances and review available payment options, including insurance estimates and office payment policies

Verify insurance eligibility and benefits

Communicate with insurance carriers regarding claims, appeals, and EOBs

Maintain accurate records within Open Dental

Support front office and treatment coordinators as needed

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years dental billing experience (required)

Familiar with submitting electronic insurance claims

Strong understanding of dental codes (CDT), EOBs, PPO and HMO plans

Open Dental experience preferred

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
