Job Description
Performs rework and assembly of avionics systems. Teledyne Controls is seeking assembler experienced in component soldering and desoldering to join our team. In this role you'll handle all phases of rework, component replacement, and mechanical assembly for avionics products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Mechanical assembly and disassembly of aircraft parts.
- Minor component encapsulation.
- Circuit card conformal coat touch-up.
- Follows verbal and written instructions.
- Uses several hand tools.
- Hand soldering and de-soldering of electrical thru-hole components.
- Minor Surface Mount component installations.
- Wire and cable harnessing.
Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Other Skills and Abilities - Must be able to interpret drawings, have knowledge of color coding and identify component polarity and pin orientation.
- Must be able to operate microscope.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Salary Range: $39,000.00-$52,000.000
