AspenBeach Consulting has been exclusively retained to place a Bilingual (English/Spanish) Safety Manager for a top-rated commercial laundry services company based in Los Angeles, CA. The Safety Manager will be a leadership team member and is responsible for implementing and adhering to the Company Safety Program, which promotes the safety and well-being of employees as well as the secure operation of the business. This role is critical in ensuring operations meet the highest quality and safety standards. This is a salaried, exempt position.
We seek candidates who have worked for a commercial laundry services company for 4-8+ years, have a track record of success with safety programs, and have expertise in manufacturing, logistics, and light industrial services.
The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in interpersonal skills, safety program development and implementation for quality assurance, safety incentives, awareness, and workplace management. Additionally, they should have a comprehensive understanding of OSHA and CalOSHA regulatory compliance and mandates.
The successful candidate will also demonstrate the ability to lead and train teams, effectively earning the trust of the employees that their welfare is as important as the Company's. A multi-ethnic workforce enriches the Company, and the candidate must be bilingual and competent in communicating verbally and writing in Spanish and English.
Responsibilities – How the SAFETY MANAGER will contribute to the Company
· A solid knowledge of CalOSHA, OSHA, and EPA standards, will ensure the development and implementation of safety policies and procedures for compliance.
· Conducting regular safety inspections and risk assessments will identify hazards and implement preventive measures.
· Training employees on safety protocols, including the proper use of equipment, handling of chemicals, and emergency response procedures to increase days without incidents.
· Investigating workplace accidents and incidents, determining root causes, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence, with support from the HR department in administering and handling employee injury claims.
· Your 4 - 8+ years of experience with laundry operations and equipment safety issues allows you to make a difference from day one.
